Google's Slow Search for a Good Share Price
It would seem that people learned a lesson about high-tech speculation frenzy in the late 90's. The GOOG will probably not be an exception, particularly when you consider the transcience of Internet search solutions. My former employer Inktomi was the king of the search hill for a while and was easily pushed off when a better solution and poor business decisions were made. It's not like trying to displace a company like Boeing, which requires enormous initiatives (including government assistance) and decades for a competitor like Airbus to emerge. The New York Times > Technology > Google's Slow Search for a Good Share Price
